BLOODBATH To Be Joined By OPETH Frontman At Germany's WACKEN OPEN AIR
February 15, 2005Swedish death metallers BLOODBATH have parted ways with vocalist Peter Tägtgren due to "conflicting schedules," according to a posting on the group's web site. "We thank him for sharing his acclaimed talent and efforts on [the latest CD] 'Nightmares Made Flesh'," the band write on their web site.
BLOODBATH will be utilizing the services of returning frontman Mike Åkerfeldt (OPETH) for their upcoming appearace at the Wacken Open Air festival on August 4 in Wacken, Germany. "[Åkerfeldt], the former BLOODBATH member with possibly the best death metal voice in the world has stepped up to help the band destroy Wacken on this exclusive one-time happening," the band write on their web site. "This is something that you're guaranteed to never see again as Mike will not be rejoining the band in any way apart from committing to this performance."
